What will you be doing with your laptop?  Will you use your laptop for business;  do you just want to send email or work with photos?   The requirements may be different so you want to be sure to choose a laptop that can meet your needs.

What kind of warranty comes with your laptop?  The "in-store" warranties are good but what's really important is the manufacturer's warranty.  What's covered under the manufacturer's warranty?  How long is your warranty period?  Can you get your warranty work done locally or do you have to send your laptop back to the manufacturer if something goes wrong?  We work on lots of laptops and replacement parts are expensive and sometimes hard to get.  For example a replacement screen can cost as much as $500.00 and it can take anywhere from 3 days to a week to get the part if its available.
